Education

The Sacramento Gold Rush Chapter offers our members the opportunity to learn more about the contracting profession through three primary means: 1) our annual March NES Event, 2) helping our members get certified in one of NCMA’s five nationally recognized certifications and 3) by providing learning opportunities for our members through seminars, webinars and NCMA’s National Education Seminars (NES).

NCMA’s certification programs have become the national standard in our profession. An NCMA certification tells current and prospective employers that you have mastered the portions of the Contract Management Body of Knowledge (CMBOK) covered by that certification.  NCMA certifications help you differentiate yourself from your peers, demonstrate your commitment to professional development and may help you with a promotion or help you in your job search.  NCMA currently offers three professional certifications:

The Sacramento Gold Rush Chapter offers training in a variety of forums including our monthly meetings and other events held throughout the year.  In addition to training offered at the monthly meetings, we have also offered NCMA’s National Education Seminars to our members.

In addition to training put on by the Sacramento Gold Rush Chapter, the National NCMA organization also offers training webinars on a variety of topics.  NCMA’s webinars are live, 90-minute online educational events combining real-time presentation with telephone conferencing. Each month, NCMA presents timely topics drawn from both the government and commercial contracting arenas, given by subject-matter experts.

For more information about the different educational opportunities the Sacramento Gold Rush Chapter offers please check out the events page on our website.
